My morning from Emerald Beach, Coffs Harbour.

Updated: May 5

The weather in Brisbane was quite average on an Australia Day Holiday, so I ventured out to Coffs to get some sun rays instead. I stayed the night at Reflection Holiday Park and went to Emerald Beach in the morning for some much-needed R&R.

Emerald Beach is a 3 hour and 45 minute drive from Brisbane and 15 minutes away from Coffs Harbour City Centre. It provides breathtaking views of Coffs' coastline from a nearby lookout called Look-at-me-now Headland. Emerald Beach is also a local surfing hotspot.

There had been some controlled bushfires in the nearby hinterland, so the morning sky was full of haze. Despite that, the atmosphere at the beach was excellent, as usual. I took the below shots with my Fuji XT-30 camera and 50-230mm kit lens. If you look closely at the photos, you can pick out the Solitary Lighthouse in the distant South Solitary Island.
