Visit to Sugarloaf Lighthouse

Updated: May 5

Yes, it's a lighthouse again :-)

By now, you would have guessed that I am a sucker for lighthouses. There's so much to love about these majestic structures. They are a wonderful part of history, representing hope, calm, guidance, and much more to me.

We had a midweek public holiday in Brisbane last week, so I took two more days off work to give myself an extended weekend. As usual, I packed up my camera gear and headed to New South Wales without much planning. I was met with bad weather throughout my trip to Sydney and back. I stayed at Reflection Holiday Park at Coffs Harbour and Heritage Mountain Hotel at Blue Mountains. Both locations proved uneventful due to excessive rain, so the cameras stayed remained in the bag.

I stayed at Reflection Holiday Park at Seal Rocks on my way back. It was still raining when I arrived at the cabin, so I settled in for the night, hoping for clear skies the next day. My wish came true. I managed to get a small window of opportunity and took some drone shots during sunrise.

I was pretty happy with how the images turned out. Here are some shots and a video from the day.
